Artist Statement
The shiny golden spots scattered like confetti on this painting and gave the artwork its name.
The work is made in dark pink and a bright yellow shade of gold. Different directions of light will create various visual effects: direct sunlight makes the shining of the gold active, while if the light comes in from the side it emphasizes the contrast between deep red and shimmering gold. The sides of the canvas are part of the composition, so the painting is ready to hang without an additional frame. The canvas is signed on the back.
