Artist statement
The active emerald color on this painting creates a sense of dancing shapes.
The work is made in bright emerald color and a light shade of gold. Different directions of light will create various visual effects: direct sunlight makes the shining of the gold active, while if the light comes in from the side it emphasizes the contrast between matte green and shimmering gold. The sides of the canvas are part of the composition, so the painting is ready to hang without an additional frame. The canvas is signed on the back.
