Artist statement
Bleeding Spades is a stunning abstract expressionism painting with bold colours and fierce brush stroke movement. This original, contemporary mixed media painting has texture in some areas with a lustrous high gloss resin finish; to protect this one-of-a-kind large statement piece and make the vivid colours pop even more. Created on a custom wood canvas; this unique focal point painting has beautiful red tones; burgundy, crimson and magenta that compliment custom green hues. Yellows pop against its complement; purple and the beautiful rich blue tones marry well with pink accent colours. This is colour heaven.
