Part of a series of coloured pencil drawings referencing my own on-site studies of Modernist architecture. The white lines shown are actually the white paper background, which was masked out while the drawing was being worked on. Signed on back and discreetly initialled on front, in bottom right corner.

I was born in Lanark, Scotland, and graduated with BA (hons) in painting from University of Sunderland, England in 1985 followed by an MA in Site-Specific Sculpture (with Distinction) from Wimbledon College of Art, London, England in 1998. I work across a range of disciplines – including installation, drawing, painting, sculpture and video – to create artworks that reflect my interest in architecture and Modernist design. I've been based in Glasgow since 2003, having previously lived in various other parts of the UK, including Edinburgh, Brighton and London.
