A trip to the Kamchatka peninsula impressed me with the great diversity of nature. I saw it as a mosaic-map, which I was eager to fill with different textures of this land - the colors of the earth, national music and ornaments.
I take an image of a deer, change its antlers, create a kind of tangle or crown, and fill in the gaps with color, creating a stained glass effect.
I really like the technique of oil painting, with its help I can achieve the effect of stained glass in my painting.
I would like the viewer, looking at the picture, to feel the joy of the early morning, when the sun just rises and its rays penetrate the colored glass of my fantastic deer.
My style is distinctive and unique, I call it stained glassism.
The picture was painted with oil paints on canvas made of 100% linen.
It is included in my series of paintings about the Kamchatka Peninsula "Patchwork Animals of the North".
The rest of this series can be seen on my profile.
