About the art
Artist statement
The Dotonbori district in Osaka owes its reputation to the many restaurants, bars and shops that come alive in the evening to welcome the joyful crowd of walkers. The many neon signs that cover the facades of buildings then light up, each more original than the other and deliciously regressive. A real pleasure for a visual artist to play with the volumes of the buildings, the colors of the neon lights, the advertising screens, the animated characters and the giant crabs. Acrylic on paper.
