The painting is a modern interpretation of the famous painting by Caspar-David Friedrich from 1832. The detailed copying and subsequent blurring creates a completely new and surreal atmosphere. The blurring reduces the painting to the essentials. It is framed with a 1 cm thick beech wood strip. In my three-part series that deals with this painting, I want to study the painting technique and reinterpret this work of art in a modern way. The original is in a museum in my city, where I was able to see the original. Caspar-David Friedrich is considered a pioneer of romanticism and staged landscape painting. His works can be found in numerous museums around the world
