The painting is a modern interpretation of the famous masterpiece "The stages of life" by Caspar David Friedrich from 1835. In my contemporary interpretation, I copied the motif down to the last detail in oil colors and added a small detail from our present time: an airplane in the sky leaving a slight streak. In my series dealing with this painting, I am concerned with studying the painting technique and reinterpreting this work of art in a modern way. Caspar-David Friedrich is regarded as a pioneer of Romanticism and staged landscape painting. His works are in numerous museums around the world. The painting is framed with a 1cm beech frame.
