This piece is performed with phosphorescent acrylic paints.
Their unique feature is accumulating sunlight or artificial light and giving it back later in the dark. The more light falls on the picture, the brighter it glows at nightfall. Daylight or UV lamps are the best here. If the painting is "charged" enough, it may shine all night long.
