Artist Statement
An abstract geometric composition in red, blue, beige. At first glance, the shapes are partly reminiscent of English fabric patterns.
With a special image design KNÖ-REI lets the viewer enter the world of optical efects. One thinks to see the motive blurred, but everything is exactly planned and exactly painted. KNÖ-REI has here overpainted one of her existing paintings and consciously used the existing painting structures. Parts of the old motif shimmer through in the beige-colored parts of the picture. The partial high-gloss varnish brings ever-changing highlights.
