About Gray Concrete
Of all the triptychs I painted in 2009, Grey Concrete may be the calmest in color. The three young girls or creatures dance on the grey concrete floor in three different postures: one is holding death in her hands, one curling up her legs, and one dancing passionately, reflecting my thoughts about the beautiful human life. The sharp contrast between the calm tones and the aesthetical postures indicates the loneliness and the hysteria of solitude.
