"Spring Wits "is the impression of Chinese 24 Solar Terms, which is one of my favorite motifs. I have started to interest in Chinese Solar Terms since I was a kid. It was because of my Chinese Calligraphy study and influenced by Chinese tradition. Also during the years when I lived in Japan, I have impressed by how Japanese people were paying high tribute to Solar Terms too. Eastern art often has a tight relationship with solar terms. Although I paint in Western-style, Chinese traditional philosophy still very relevant to my work. It has permeated deeply into my art. Consequentially, it helps to form my style.
"Wits" series contains four seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. They endeavor how Wits extol the beauty of life and wish for freedom and Sunlights.
