Oil on mdf, cedar. Wall sculpture signed and dated on the back.
The Bauspiel series is a tribute to the Bauhaus and particularly to the construction game created in 1923 by Alma Siedhoff-Buscher.
From the German “bau” (construction) and “spiel” (game)
These minimal sculptures are the result of assemblies of raw sanded salvage parts, they are suffused with ethereal colours. The subtle color is in direct contact with the raw material, without artifice.
