View of the in situ installation in 2016 and 2017 at Parc Montsouris in Paris on an already existing stone pedestal. The polar bear, which has become the symbol of global warming, is on the verge of extinction every minute more. Placing this symbol on a pedestal among other commemorative sculptures makes it a memorial for the environment.

Artist Profile
Hometown: Paris
Based in: Paris
Anne Juliette Deschamps works in Paris, France.
After a 1rst cycle at the Beaux-Arts in Bourges, she graduated in scenography at the École Supérieure des Arts et Techniques in Paris. She first worked for theatre and cinema set design and props. A project called Ajee has constitued her first body of plastic work, starting in 2005. Her current artistic approach began to emerge from 2015.
She practices sculpture, painting and installation.
She questions her presence to the world with a humble gaze. Her topic is her global environnement, from the cell to the universe, through a personnal and fantasized cosmogony.
She attempts to capture the colors that the light gives us to get completely lost in them. She invites contemplation and self-forgetting, by coating her media with color slicks, as she feels englobed in her natural environemment. It’s this intention that leads her to refine her production towards mimalism.
Her work is intended to be frontal, using chromatically acidulous and formally pure vocabularies.
