Artist Statement

"The place of dance" is the title of this brightly colored abstract painting that brings to mind spring, rebirth, positivity and the joy of living.
The various layers are transparent, and look like watercolors, but they are very diluted oil colors to create lightness, lights, shadows.
which then become a motif on the canvas.
And the viewer - while looking at this "place of dance" -, will irremediably hear the rustle of the bird's wings, the cherry petals and the shattering of the countryside in colors that, during this third isolation of March, I observed walking around my home.
I would like this "dance step" made of light brushstrokes to be a good omen of positivity and charm.
Note:
- Materials: best quality pure pigments on a stretched canvas where the edges have been painted, so the artwork is ready to hang even without a frame.
Furthermore, the painting is protected from sunlight and dust by a thin varnish.

Artist Profile

Hometown: Miskolc (Hungary)

Based in: Bassano del Grappa (Italy)

Beáta Kozák was born in Hungary, but lives and works in Italy, in Bassano del Grappa, but considers herself a citizen of the world.

From the beginning of her artistic research, her quest for Beauty, and her philosophical approach - here and now- helped her to discover new horizons, and to grow her artistic and human development.

Beáta's practice - thanks to a humanistic and artistic training, it ranges between writing literary translations, photographs, and teaching art history.

Her interest in painting comes from the evocative possibility in which, with lyrical gaze, she creates landscape and memory traces.
This exploration is immediately oriented towards the representation of water, of physical and metaphysical matter, rich of memories and symbols.
She 's a painter who prefers oil colours to build lyrical and chromatic narratives.
