Artist Statement
With La Terre 004, I sought to work on a multicolored, rich, vibrant universe, combining the strength and uniqueness of the four elements. The painting features a mosaic of color, where gradients and solid colors rub shoulders, which offers a contemplative work, filled with sparkles. I worked with the batik technique, an ancestral process dedicated to textile printing which means "wax writing". This allows me to paint with reserves of white. I work in watercolor on Japanese paper, handmade. The work is sold with its white American frame and its certificate of authenticity.
