Always temporary is the largest piece among the Passerby series. The series explores the idea of impermanence: nature's repetitive cycles of evolution and disintegration. A contemporary take on the classic theme 'memento mori', the pieces are reminders of the idea that everything passes. Depicted on the walls of the panoramic scene are references that point to the idea of ephemerality: “Nevermore”, from Edgar Allan Poe’s The Raven, and “ars longa, vita brevis” from Hippocrates. Whether this generates hope or despair, it is nonetheless always our universal truth.
Always temporary was used as cover art for two publications: Sa Pagitan ng mga Emerhensya (Rosmon Tuazon, University of the Philippines Press) and Forth (Rosmon Tuazon, Balangay Press)
