Westbury- Nadia, 2018 by Carla Gimbatti
Silkscreen Print on Canvas
59 in. H x 38 in. W
Handprints
Unframed

Lines and patterns repeat themselves in nature and in history. While paths may seem similar, they are mostly unique. When Gimbatti began using fingerprints and handprints as a way of portraying people, she was struck by their singularity and beauty. These marks that vary from one person to another are printed as a reflection of our bodies, experiences, influences, and life stories.
