I see a comet hurtling through the earth’s atmosphere, just moments before impact. This work is inspired by the comet that impacted the earth 65 million years ago and caused the extinction of the dinosaurs, paving the way for the evolution of humans. Ironically, today, humans are the cause of the sixth mass extinction with many species already lost.
The artwork is not framed and uses D rings with a steel wire as hanging hardware. It is large but not heavy (approx.15 kg). Still, due to its size it must be handled by two people.
Mounting hardware must be considered depending on the wall type. A screw with a screw plug is advised for brick or stone walls. If the wall is made of a wooden framework and plasterboard look for where the stud frame is and use two heavy duty J hanging hooks fixed to the studs. Drywall: If you know the drywall is robust you can use a special anchor for dry walls.
