Artist statement
A collection of prints made from natural forms and fruits transformed through a process of digital manipulation. The impulse deeply explores the haunting journey behind eating disorders and the long path to recovery. Healthy fruit full of life had become decayed and digitally reformed to make them ‘beautiful’ again. The digital transformation represents the impact social media can have on society and how these transformations can make us chase a distorted beauty that doesn't exist.
