Artist Statement
This is a time-consuming combination of a painting and a sun-printed photograph called a cyanotype. Up close you can see a fine pattern of tiny leaves and plants.within each of the big leaves
The outline of a plant was drawn then filled not with watercolor paint but with light-sensitive photo emulsion and plants were laid across the shapes to create a repeating blue and white pattern within the silhouette.the edge ct is reminiscent of the blue and white patterns painted on Dutch Delft porcelain.
