Artist Statement
During the creation of this work, the theme was then only a feeling and the words were not yet posed on what was nevertheless already present in the intention: from a mysterious order is born the chaotic energy of life and the fantastic forms it takes. Is there a reason, an end? It is impenetrable to us. And to fill this void, we create fables and theories.
To illustrate this postulate, here is a symbolic game between the square (sign of an order in its unity, like a finite entity) and free forms for interpretation and phantasmagoria. The signs created leave the viewer free to see the purpose of the world. He creates his own cosmogony.
It is a desire to share simply, intimately, a questioning: "How do I see myself in this great chaos". It is up to him to have his own answers.
