Artist Statement
Pieces of memories where by each imaginary brick was cobbled together in order to make this wonky house. I borrowed the name from the home where my children grew up, in a far, far-away land. A pink house too, made of coral stone, under the Caribbean sun. The man who built it in the 1800 was an aficionado of Rudyard Kipling so he called the property "Rudkip House" and it stuck throughout time. A house I would have never wanted to leave...it stands in my secret garden for ever and I do the maintenance!

Born and raised in Versailles, France, Claire was schooled in Paris and obtained a Baccalaureate with distinction.
She moved to South Africa in 1981 and studied Law at the University of the Witwatersrand.
Claire met her husband Giuseppe Soffietti (an Italian architect) and moved to Turin, Italy, where they married in 1984.
