Artist Statement

IconCaretDown

The landscape that we observe around us is transitory and changing. The only permanent thing that marks its identity is the kinetic event itself and its capacity for change, it is not only then; the "from where we observe", but also how "we do it". In a reality in movement, the work is not unique, absolute and definitive, but an entity endowed with multiple existences, with instantaneous identities that are revealed in each fragment of the movement of planes, shapes, colors... these make up the main aspect of all my visual possibilities, all my cosmos and visual imagery, is sustained by the wonder of the landscape that I try to represent through my ethereal and translucent paintings. A Landscape that blurs in the amorphous and organic topography that emerges in my works, that timeless and indeterminate landscape.

Artist Profile

Born: 1981

Hometown: Concepción

Based in: SANTIAGO DE CHILE

I am an artist from the south of Chile, from the beginning of my artistic career I was addressing the most academic problems of art, and that has helped me to approach abstraction from a more deconstructive angle as well as from the logic of discourse.

I currently live and work in Santiago, I dedicate myself 100% to developing my works, I continue to address issues such as landscape, what interests me today is to talk about "man as a changing entity of that so-called landscape", as much as it is deconstructs and builds into something else, as well as in the different angles that this allows us to appreciate and how it changes, when you change as an observer, I approach my plastic work

from different angles and techniques, such as painting, sculpture, photography, video art, etc.

Today I am completely devoted to continue developing my work from different areas, both in the plastic search (sculpture, materials, equipment, techniques, etc.), and in the development of my work towards new digital media,

(metaverse, NFT, video art, etc.).
