Artist Statement
Raw cotton fabrics painted with inks, torn and glued on the canvas, interact freely with lines and signs created with acrylic paints and inks, creating unusual and curious compositions: like free thoughts and new visions that can arise in us when we allow diversities to dialogue with each other, both in ourselves and in our relationships with others.

Artist Profile
Born: 1966
Hometown: Verona
Based in: Verona
Cristina Dalla Valentina is an Italian painter born in Verona: she has been working in the artistic sector for over 15 years and specialized in contemporary abstracts on canvas using acrylic colors, inks and textile collages with techniques ranging from liquid painting to mixed media.
Her artistic practice focuses on the attempt to combine formal and geometric elements with more instinctive and organic features: colors play a role of primary importance in this because they underline this attempt and enhance it from an emotional point of view.
Continuous experimentation is the distinctive trait that has always guided Cristina: from her first workshop at the Academy of Fine Arts in Verona until today, the artist has never stopped growing and acquiring new skills, always remaining open to the opportunities that open up to her.
Cristina Dalla Valentina's paintings could be found in private collections in Europe (Italy, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Norway, Greece, Bulgaria), North and South America (United States, Canada, Brazil), Asia and Oceania (Japan , Australia).
