The intense orange of the soil is rendered exactly on this positive film, under an intense blue sky, and surrounded by the rich colours of the desert shrubs.
Bon Bon, South Australia, September 2016
Shot on FujiChrome Velvia 50ASA 35mm positive film. The image has been professionally scanned from the original 35mm positive, and printed using archival pigment ink on resin-coated Kodak lustre photographic paper. The black border indicates a full-frame uncropped image.
The traditional photographic paper size I rely on is not indicative of the size of the actual image on the print, as there needs to be white space to allow for framing as well as the edition number & signature.
The print will ship unframed; the 3rd image is an illustrative example.
This listing is for a 12”x16” print.
Please contact The Artling if you’d like a different size.
Paper size is in inches, and the exact image size on the paper is in centimetres:

I am passionate about film photography, and using it to capture beautiful and harsh landscapes; often
within the same frame. I find the Australian landscape completely fascinating and alluring; it has such
dramatic contrast to where I’m from, and is seemingly never-ending in its variation and size.
I have lived in Sydney since …
