My name is Dan Howard.
I am designer and engineer from Dublin, Ireland with a profound curiosity about the world, the things within it and how those things interact with each other.
My creative practice encompasses a broad range of topics and interests from interactive installations to traditional ink illustrations and many topics in between. Today, my primary focus is in the area of generative art & design. Generative art & design involves the design and creation of "autonomous systems" in order to generate "outputs". My professional work in the area of software engineering has led to an interest in the extraction of data encoded in media and the use of this data as inputs to seed new creative outputs.
