Based in: Tregarth, Bangor
My photographic life grew out of poetry writing and acting. The poetry was my first creative expression, and I work to bring the lessons and ideas learnt there to my images. I did set out to create landscapes, which I still do, but I found flowers to have more potential poetic expression. I look and find stories and emotions in what the flower has to offer me. It has become part of my process; to look at the image day after day, and ask myself, does the story hold, do I still enjoy looking at the image. Only those images that can stand that repeated viewing get to be seen by anyone else.
