Artist Statement
Ankh Form is a study in emergent structure. The piece is built up from iterated Bézier curves, with each version of the curve having slightly different start, end, and inflection points. If allowed to continue indefinitely, this process would create a complete field of varying density, but in this piece I've stopped it after a certain number of iterations, revealing the curved form here. To me the shape is reminiscent of a cello, or a guitar.
