Artist Statement
I love sailing and I participated in Giraglia Rolex 2021 - an iconic regatta in Italy. The race, sails and sea are a unique experience. I managed to make watercolors during the race(!) and then I used them to create bigger pictures. I also took lots of photos and I use only my references for the artworks, working with the things I really have seen and I know. That evening was an incredible sunset during the race from Genova to Sanremo and I made several paintings on this subject.
The artwork is acrylic on canvas in an impressionistic style. The artist applies the paint with thick layers so it looks like oil. The artwork is on rigid support, ready to hang and is accompanied by the Certificate of Authenticity.
