Artist Statement

In the picture you can see a woman. Her clothes are decorated by an impressive striped collar with pompons. She has a smile on her lips, her hair is trimmed. The upper half of her face is not in the picture, leaving her eyes and gaze unclear.

The series "Up And Down Goes The Economy" draws inspiration from the aesthetic fabric of the 1950s. The fashion of the time just like a color palette inspired by it is reflected in the works. In addition, there is an ironic examination of the values of this era: on the one hand, the naive thought of consumption and growth, and on the other hand, the perception of women in society.
