The Bodegones is a pictorial interpretation based on a research project of the famous chef Juan Carlos Franco, on old food recipes of different periods in history. The photographer recreated the images inspired by paintings and images from these eras, also finding inspiration from artists such as Leonardo DA Vinci, Albrecht Dürer, and others.

Dora Franco began her artistic career as a fashion model in her country Colombia, work that she continued in Europe and New York, where she posed for artists such as Salvador Dalí and Richard Avedon among many others.

Her interest in the arts led her to study Fine Arts at the Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá and at the Art Institute of San Francisco, where she began her career as a fashion, beauty, and interior design photographer.
