Artist Statement
This artwork is part of a series of drawings entitled "Supernatural women" combining woman body and natural elements in a poetic way. The aquatic element has always fascinated me and I represent it as a recurrent theme. Water symbolizes for me both enchantment and sadness. This drawing can evoke classical representations of the female figure in art history. My approach, however, is totally different from a classical master of painting. Refusing any idealization of flesh and of painting itself, my art is subjective, graphic, contemporary.
