This monotype is part of a series inspired by thoughts and emotional responses to color and shape.
To inaugurate the printshop at The Woodstock School of Art, Woodstock, New York, Elizabeth Gourlay was invited to work with Master Printer Anthony Kirk.
She finds the immediacy and experimental quality of monotypes valuable to her practice as an artist.
Based in: Chester
Elizabeth Gourlay is an American abstract artist whose work emerges from a progressive process of layering colour, lines and forms, informed both by inner emotional states and her observation of nature and architecture.
