With his avantgarde designs CUP for the furniture manufacturer Richard Lampert, the designer Eric Degenhardt has formally dissolved an armchair and a sofa into individual surfaces.

The CUP 01 sketch for the Cologne Design Gallery shows only the two side parts of the armchair. Degenhardt has sketched with a dark green and a black fineliner. The restrained, subtle colourfulness only reveals itself to the viewer at second glance.

Degenhardt’s minimalistic lines reinforce his clear, sculptural design language. Puristic, tender, impressive!
