'Art is a painful struggle for perfection
that the artist hasn’t achieved yet,
but it has never stopped him
to push hard and keep trying.' - Nasimo
Started spraying aerosol paint on walls right after the fall of the communist regime in the early 90’s, Stanislav Trifonov - Ernaste Nasimo is considered to be a pioneer for the Bulgarian street art culture, as well as one of the most proactive graffiti and fine art muralists from the Balkans.
His monumental works can be seen in countries like Great Britain, Germany, Austria, Italy, Belgium, Poland, Portugal, Turkey, Russia, Canada, India and China, sometimes spanning across multi-storey buildings.
He graduated ‘Fine Arts’ in the University of Veliko Tarnovo in 1998.
In 2016 Nasimo was nominated for ‘Enlightener of the Year’ by the Bulgarian National Television and FM+ Radio.
In 2018, following his exhibition ‘There is Light’, he was awarded for outstanding achievements in the field of ‘Fine Arts’ and overall contribution towards culture.
He has participated in many solo and group exhibitions around the world.
In 2020 he was an artist and curator of the first graffiti art exhibition in the National Gallery in Sofia.
Nowadays Nasimo is equally focused on muralism and studio painting, further building upon his style. His art is a symbiosis between traditional fine art media and contemporary graffiti art, two different worlds which he often intertwines into multilevel figurative compositions.
His so-called ‘Fine Graff Art' reflects the maturity of his style and builds upon his artistic identity, setting him apart from the status quo of the contemporary art scene. His highly expressive works uncover his spirituality and seeker’s nature.
