Artist Statement
Dis/junct is the second painting in a series that takes inspiration from music. Looking closely at the dynamic compositon, what first appears to be a combination of incoherent structures over time balances itself out, not unsimilar to the first tones of the various musical instruments in an orchestra before they are tuned and "integrated" to produce a beautiful, rhythmic piece of music.
