Estelle is a famous multi-award-winning Australian painter who has been painting and exhibiting since childhood. She was considered gifted at an early age, and her work is present in many private collections. Estelle initially attended Wollongong University but later in life received degrees from the University of Central Lancashire (UK) and studied for her PhD at the University of Queensland, Australia.
In her younger years, Estelle painted in an impressionistic style. However, Estelle changed her style to abstract expressionism in her early twenties. This was usually in the form of large canvases using acrylic paint or synthetic polymer. This style and medium persist today.
Estelle lived in seven different countries over the last four decades, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan, Japan and the United States, and Australia. Estelle exhibited in numerous galleries, shows, and fairs in solo and group collections in those countries. Three of the most significant galleries were the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum (Japan), Los Angeles Center For Digital Art and (LACDA), Global Gallery (Australia). She has exhibited in hundreds of galleries, and her work has also been part of art shows in New York, London, Paris and Rome.
Estelle explores a vast array of themes that she feels an emotional connection to. Often she contemplates the theme for some time, and then when she is ready to paint, there is an emotional attachment to the idea. Such themes are multiplicate; the nature of the universe, mythology, unusual phenomena, inter-personal relationships and events.
Estelle published her first art book in 2010, entitled "Transience," while her second more significant book, "Abstraction" is due for publication in December 2022. Her work has been featured in many print publications from Vogue, Mozaïk, New Woman, Grand Designs, NY Glamour, Girl, Art Almanac, and Art Guide Australia. At the same time, Estelle's work enjoys an enormous web presence.
