Artist Statement
This artwork is about a landscape that does not exist. It's a landscape in my imagination, one that is almost surreal and highly abstract but in it there is a whole unknown ecosystem that is alien to us. The work is in the style of abstract expressionism.
This artwork is painted on professional-grade canvas stretched and sealed with varnish. The canvas has dimensions 225 cm in width by 90 cm in height. The painting wraps around the sides of the stretcher, so the sides are painted in the same style as the surface. As such it does not need a frame.
This painting is UNMOUNTED from the stretcher and sent rolled-up as international shipping rates are out of control right now. You would need to have it remounted at your local framing store.
