"Nocturne and fire", acrylic on canvas, 45X92 cm.

An abstract painting, created with thin layers of acrylic, in a gestural and strong style. Different tones of blues contrasting with subtles yellows, oranges and warm browns. Greyish blue, dark blue, bluish violet... A huge modern painting, so dramatic and strong, evocating the night, some light through the darkness, shadows and light, maybe fire and water...

All my original artworks are shipped with an invoice and a signed certificate of authenticity.
This painting is signed on the front and on the back.
Painting continue on the edges : no need frame.

Artist Profile

Born: 1962

Hometown: Vouvray

Based in: Vouvray, France

Fabienne Monestier is a French professionnal painter.

She is graduated in Fine Art. She studied experimental cinema and engraving at the art school "Institut d'Arts Visuels" of Orléans, France.
But her favorite practice, in cinema, was to draw the story-boards !

She get an Art School High Diploma in 1989. She really began painting in 1994.

Main time, she paints from imagination, because she likes the freedom of evocation. She likes working in figurative, abstract, impressionism or photorealism ways. She always says that the most important, for her, is to create images !
All her artworks are original pieces, paintings and drawings, direct from her studio in Touraine, in the Loire Valley, France.

She is also a lyrical mezzo singer in the professionnal choir from Opera of Tours, France.
