A relatively young artist who graduated from UiTM in 2017, Firdaus Nordin has definitely carved a niche for himself within the Malaysian contemporary art scene with his medium of aluminium tooling that uses similar techniques to the traditional copper tooling. Firdaus first showcased his sculptural like painting with the technique of aluminium tooling at Inception, a group exhibition which he organised with his peers in 2017. Since then, he has created his own signature imageries of rustic tones and hues on various subject matters such as coins, clowns and jokers embossed on aluminium surfaces.
