Artist Statement
Oil, enamel and acrovinilico on linen canvas. The painting is signed on back and front and because of its size it will be shipped rolled in a tube. The whole canvas is 215x345 cm., giving various restretching options in choosing painting depth, for a final size from 200x330 to 205x335 cm.
In the Masquerade series D'Adamo starts from what he did at the beginning of his career with the works collected under the name of Dyssomnia to reach new images, characterized by strong colors, more distinct compositions and with some reminiscences of figurative elements, albeit disguised, or indeed masked. The visual richness of oil painting is separated by drawn lines, with charcoal or pastel, giving the final image a certain dynamism and movement.
