Artist Statement

Gabriel’s sculpture has always been an attempt to return to classical sculpture tradition, blurring the distinction between art, design, and architecture, as well as emphasizing the intimacy between artist and their works. This sculpture is made of metal, terrazzo, and stone. All these materials are commonly used in sculptural tradition, architecture, and even industry. It can be sourced naturally or made in factories. It incorporates traces of both natural and industrial materials that are often used in sculpture tradition and history and how they coexist.
