Artist Statement
With my work i want to explore the relation between nature and culture. In western mainstream dialectic nature and culture are perceived to be in opposition to eachother. However i see both inseperable, as culture would not be possible without the underliyng fundament of nature, but is intrinsicly nested into it. By interpretating natural shapes such as landscapes, dunes and waves, i reflect the sourroundings that have shaped our consciousness over a long period of evolutionary processes.
