Artist Statement
This piece was inspired by the autumn. Cempasuchil flowers (marigolds) are used in the Day of the Dead celebrations in Mexico as they symbolize light. They are a bright orange color and smell lovely. My favorite season!
Collage made of hand-painted paper cutouts and acrylic on stretched canvas. Orange, purple, dark red, gold colors and lots of textures and details.
Varnished for protection.

Emerging artist from Mexico, I like to express myself through abstract forms, bold colors, textures and free strokes. Currently exploring florals and animal subjects that allow me to play with organic and colorful shapes.
