Mars (composition №5)
Cold, toxic, no air to breathe, very dangerous, incredibly far away. There is not a drop of water, no food, and all that we are so used to. But how attractive it is, an alluring and desirable terracotta ball in the sky with the color of a ceramic pot sculpted and fired by an unknown creator thousands of years ago. Perhaps the ancient makers came up with the idea of firing clay after waking up from a bright dream, and who knows if they didn't dream of Mars.
Acrylic paints over gesso on a linen canvas. Painted with a plastic card as a tool. Sides are painted.
