Freehand Sea B By George Hall. Acrylic Paint on canvas, ready to hang.
'Freehand Sea B' by George Hall. When I was young I copied a whole calligraphy book, as I wanted to have beautiful handwriting. Put anything in front of me and a pen and I'll draw all over it, which was always a constant irritation to my mother, who's beautiful magazines etc would have my graffiti all over them. Having designed textiles for 30 odd years and really enjoy the subtle interplay of colour and the beauty that creates, as well as a feeling, this work is an expression of all that. I also love street art and graffiti and a lot of the techniques and equipment I use in my art are very similar to those used by freestyle artists.
The artwork is unframed.
