Artist Statement
I understood that to be a photographer is to capture light. Some hunt tornadoes, others heads or beasts, I am a hunter of light.

Artist Profile
Born: 1968
Hometown: Fontenay le Fleury
Based in: Fontenay le Fleury
I was born in Paris and I live nearby
I have been passionately involved in film photography for over 20 years in parallel with my work as an engineer.
Since April 2022, I have been living my passion full time.
I do analog photography because it totally satisfies my way of approaching my subject through observation and patience.
I particularly like the softness of the images, the progressiveness of the blur and its grain.
This is the reason why I naturally turned to the large format camera, this allows to restore both the finesse and the softness of the textures.
My approach is also to return to the very essence of photography, that is to say to the original technique devoid of any superfluous adjustment.
I find my inspiration in reading light and observing what surrounds me. Photography is above all capturing the light and looking at what others do not see. When I am not exploring my environment, it is the images that run through my mind that I try to “capture”.
Above all, I feel like a photographer who seeks to create poetry in images. Whether the theme of my work is still life, landscape, portrait or a nude study, it is always nature that inspires me: The body seen as a landscape, the woman nature, the return to the state of nature, and the dream of wide open spaces without any imprint of man, are my favorite subjects.
This artisanal and visual approach, I find it even more by my experimentation with alternative processes such as the production of Ambrotypes (photography on a glass plate) with wet collodion or the use of pastel, sanguine, etc. on textured fine art paper. I like, through these processes, to find the matter of my subjects and the "matter of light"
As an artist, I defend the limited edition of photographic works and artisanal work.
