Artist statement
Music, silence and noise from the series Public, private, secret. The series Public, private , secret, was started at the end of 2019 and before the Covid 19 Pandemic started, but whilst continuing on with this body of work, the Artist has found her practice, not surprisingly, affected and changed by this strange and difficult time for many. In this painting the Artist was interested in depicting the music and silence that for her defined the pandemic period and since then the relative noise ( and much needed fun ) of entering back into some sort of normal and social existence.
The painting is signed on the canvas side and ready to hang, and shows some signs of the painting process to the canvas sides.
