Artist Statement
It’s easy to imagine seaweed flowing underwater looking at the texture of this round wall sculpture.
Firstly molded by hand with cellulose on a board, the spikes were then impregnated with epoxy resin.
Afterwards I covered the whole surface, edges included, with other 2 coats of resin mixed to a pure copper metal pigment.
As the final result the spikes look like coming out of a copper magma.
The piece is ready to hang with a hidden hook, the hardware to hang it on the wall is supplied.

Artist Profile
Born: 1966
Hometown: Rome
Based in: Rome
After attending the High School of Art I moved onto European Institute of Design in Rome and graduated in illustration.
I find inspiration for my artworks through a close, attentive look of nature.
I focus on a particular organic texture, wood, bark, vegetable, animal or the shape of a rock and I bring it in the circumscripted space of an artwork.
Sometimes city landscape as well offers me a suggestion, such as the uneven cobblestones of the city I live in or the fascination of a peeling crackle wall.
I like playing with patina on metal finishes, since the oxydation is always unpredictable and unique and gives distinctiveness to each piece.
Through my website I collaborate with collectionists, art consultants and interior designers, creating bespoke pieces of art custom designed for each project.
